Frequent Questions

How much do your services cost?

Your out-of-pocket cost is determined by your company’s net annual parcel spend and by how much money you save during the negotiation, and our pricing structure ensures that you always retain more of the overall savings by hiring Shipmint.

Do you offer any guarantees?

Yes. If you don’t save money. You don’t pay.

If I have to pay you, why wouldn’t I just hire a consultant myself?

Time is money and we save you tons of time. Properly executing carrier negotiations takes months to years. Most decision makers must spend time individually researching solutions, building relationships with potential vendors (negotiation firms), and negotiating a deal with a chosen vendor, all before the actual carrier negotiations even begin.

Shipmint’s model eliminates that hassle. We collect the information that they need to ensure your success and invite them to bid on your business. Our unique model eliminates upfront costs typically incurred by vendors, allowing them to come to the table with their best offers. In the end, you reap the reward by keeping more of the savings.

More savings. Less time. What’s not to love?

How much money can I save?

The only way to truly know is to have your small package spend analyzed by an expert. In most cases, the savings are significant – well within the 15-25% range.

Why can’t I just negotiate directly with a carrier?

Carrier agreements are notoriously tricky. Even industry veterans have trouble keeping up with all the changes carriers implement each year. The only way to be absolutely certain you have the best agreement is to hire an expert help you negotiate it.

How much time will this take?

In most cases customers directly invest no more than 6 hours total.

The breakdown:

In a couple of hours, we will have all the information we need from you to start the bidding process.

  • Within five (5) business days, we submit an executive summary for your review.
  • Once approved, we put your business out to bid, allowing seven (7) business days for submission by vendors of initial proposals.
  • Based on those submissions follow-up 1-hour meetings are scheduled per discretion to review the proposals in detail.
  • Once you make your selection, a 1-hour, on-site kickoff meeting is scheduled to include your company’s stakeholders, Shipmint and vendor representatives.

All-in-all you will be set up with a vendor dedicated to your carrier contract negotiation in less than 4 weeks.

Is the information and data I provide you with secure?

Your data is protected with 256-bit encryption. Typically, 256-bit encryption is used for highly sensitive information like financial, military or government-owned information. U.S. law requires 192- or 256-bit encryption methods to be used in the transit of such information.
